You should begin by looking at the requirements for the web 2.0 assignment.
Then communicate with others in the class via Facebook to put together a group for the assignment.
Once you have formed a group of 5-6 students, select group 1-9 and post a reply in this forum indicating (1) what grade level you are going to focus on and (2) the names of the group members with which core curriculum standards within the grade level each will find resources for.

You will be using a tool for sharing book recommendations with others. You will use this resource to share book recommendations that you can read with your class and recommend to the parents of your students.
Within your account create at least 3 bookshelves that would be meaningful to you as an ECE or ElEd teacher (they might be topical or grade level related as long as they are meaningful to you).
Add at least ten book recommendations to your list that could be used by other teachers or parents of students in your class.
Each recommendation should be placed in at least one of your bookshelves.
Each book should include a rating and recommendation information in the description field of the book.
Put a link to your book list on your PLE
You will be using a social bookmarking tool to save and share quality internet resources that you can use in your teaching.
Add all of the other students in your group to your del.icio.us network
As a group decide what grade you would like to focus on (K-6) and then divide up the Curriculum standards for that grade so that there is not overlap in the resources you are finding and sharing
Personally add 15 quality internet resources to your del.icio.us account that can be used in teaching specific Utah Core Curriculum objectives (see http://www.uen.org/core/).
** Ten of the 15 resources should be online resources that students in class could use hands-on or something that the teacher could use to explain or demonstrate a difficult concept (it should NOT be a lesson plan).
Three of the 15 resources should be online videos that could be used for teaching your students. (There are many video databases that you can search for videos on including TeacherTube, National Geographic, NASA, etc.
Tag each of the resources with a descriptive tag representing the standards it addresses (for example, if I were doing 2nd grade Math Core I might use: 2ndMathSt1NumberSense, 2ndMathSt2Patterns, 2ndMathSt3Geometry)
Put a link to your del.icio.us account on your PLE

Post a link here to your PLE (When you post the link, please be sure to turn the link into a clickable link by highlighting the text and clicking the link icon in the text box tool bar!)
indicate if you have completed Goodreads part of the assignment (5 pts)
indicate if you have completed the del.icio.us part of the assignment (5 pts)
Note 1: some of the F2F classes were not able to completely finish the del.icio.us assignment so the del.icio.us part can be turned in the third week without penalty - regardless of which section you are in.
Note 2: if you turn in part 2 of the assignment a week after part 1 you will need to post a reply to your original post in this forum indicating that you have completed part 2 of the assignment.
